Almost brand new GTI

Maybe for somebody who’s Looking for a GTI I don’t know how this works but a YouTuber “Saving Salvage” is giving a GTI away on “Compete for cars” Looks like it has been in a timecapsule…  Don’t shoot me of how this “Compete stuff” is working😅 Hopefully sombody can be the owner of this nice & clean example 😎👍🏻 For some reason I can’t upload a screenshot of it on here now?!?🙄 Go check it out on YouTube…

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if you disconnect the battery and have some warning lights afterwards you simply just need to drive it and use it normally and it will calibrate the sensors and the lights will go out. Try that before anything else

Been round an ex-work colleague'#039s place today to change the oil and fuel filters.
Normally I just remove the top lid off the fuel filter and swap the filter but he insisted we remove the whole filter housing so we can drain any water out and clean it out.
Ok fair play I thought... However when it came to leave the car conked out and was just cranking with low

I always get OEM for the cam belt kits I used over the years......I use TPS who supply the main dealers.
The belts used to be made by Continental not sure about the pumps and pulleys etc.

Good looking GTi, you could copy and paste your mk5 story for mine, as I took the plunge 12 months ago and have been on the same restoration/modifying route as you. 2009 GTI 2.0T tsi 6speed manual I’ve been having a hard start issue and it’s kinda got me stumped. Only hard starts after it’s been ran that day and other than tha runs and drives great.
